October 2009: IDQ Newsletter Vol 5 Issue 4

Dear fellow IAIDQ member,

The last few months have been very busy here at the IAIDQ.

We recently celebrated the association’s 5th Anniversary with a few local events around the globe, as well as a special Ask the Expert webinar with Tom Redman and Larry English, the founding fathers. More than 200 folks registered and engaged in an interesting dialog on the future of the IDQ industry. If you missed this event, it’s not too late; visit the webinar archive at ask-the-expert.iaidq.org.

I am also very happy to announce that our next IDQ conference will take place in the USA in 2010. We are partnering with DebTech International and will co-locate the IDQ conference with the Data Governance conference in San Diego next year from June 7-10. Block off your calendars and watch out for the Call for Papers to share your success story.

It does not stop here – we plan to provide additional venues for members to come together and learn next year. There will be IDQ Seminars – 1 or 2 day local events – in selected cities across the globe, covering all continents. We’ll be learning from experts and will have the opportunity to share our experiences through collaborative sessions amongst our peers. I am especially proud of the IDQ Seminar concept as it truly reflects our global nature and commitment to reach out to our members wherever they are. Watch this space for more news about upcoming Seminars, which are slated for the first quarter of 2010.

I also wish to thank our Board of Directors, Advisors, and all the other people who work hard behind the scenes to provide invaluable service to the association and its members. It is these people that keep the activities at IAIDQ buzzing and lively. Everybody is volunteering their time and in return gets the chance to work with other passionate individuals. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Laura Sebastian-Coleman.

Enjoy this edition of the Newsletter and continue to let us know how you think we’re doing.

Sincerely yours,
Christian
